Who am I?

I am Tori Gatling. I am 17 years old, born on January 3, 1998. Other than writing, photography, and really really really liking pineapples, I do other things too. Kind of. I am a member of the National Honor Society, the math National Honor Society, and the French Honor Society. I have played the piano since I was in the first grade and we bought my first grade teacher's piano before she moved out of state. I also play golf. I started going to the driving range with my dad when I was about four, and that's when it all started. I did take a break from "serious golf" when I was in fourth grade to eighth grade. I did gymnastics when I was eight, and I also swam fourth grade until sixth grade. In seventh and eighth grade I tried out for the basketball team and made it both years, so the winter season was mostly about basketball and I kind of neglected my golf. When freshman year rolled around, I definitely didn't want to swim, and girls high school basketball is really violent because when you're a four foot ten girl, a basketball court is not where you want to find yourself two nights a week against girls twice your size. I knew that's when I needed to get serious about golf again. Right away I was on the varsity team, which was small on the girls team. I didn't know that it would get smaller. My freshman year I got to experience my first State Send Off and State Championship. We got sixth overall, but we were just happy we made it. The next year we wanted to work hard to place, and that we did. We had a really tough region, and at both Regionals and State, the same three teams, Kingwood Park, Huntsville , and Montgomery, all placed--first, second, and third. My team came in third. We placed, but we knew we could do better. This past year, I came in third individually at Distict (which I also did the year before), and my team came in first. At Regionals, my team came in first as well. We were super pumped and had so much confidence we would take State. Our hard work really paid off, because at the end of the two days we found ourselves holding the state trophy, and at the end of the school year we were designing our State Championship ring. This upcoming year we are hoping to do it again.
